Implant

birth-control-implant

It a little (seriously little) rod that’s underneath your skin in your arm. It works two ways – it prevents the egg from ever getting released and also makes the mucus of your cervix (at the end of your vagina) super thick so sperm can’t get through. It uses a hormone that naturally occurs in your body- progestin. It’s great because you only have to think about it once every three years but it does nothing for STDs.  It’s super private too – the only people who will know you have one will be you and the person who put it in. Learn how they get put in here.

(We pick the arm that you don’t write with, fyi)
