It’s a little plastic ring that releases hormones and sits in your vagina for three weeks at a time. The fourth week you take it out and generally have a period. It works two ways – it prevents the egg from ever getting released and also makes the mucus of your cervix (at the end of your vagina) super thick so sperm can’t get through. It’s great because you only have to think about it once every three weeks but it does nothing for STDs so be aware you can still get them. Learn how to put one on here.
